EPIC OPEN WAS EPIC!

What a great weekend we had at the EPIC Open at Gordano school, Portishead. Fighters from our ranks met with fighters from BBBA, Terror Squad, Jamie Woodlands academy, Bristol Martial Arts and Body Focus. As always we welcomed the other coaches in and are thankful for their participation at our events. With 60 divisions to get through and roughly 300 fights the day was a busy one but it was a great success.

The officials made sure that the day went as smoothly as possible and the coaches kept their fighters in toe for the event to progress as it did. A huge congratulations to all the medal winners and a massive thank you to all who took part. Also a thank you to all the spectators for a brilliant atmosphere where everybody came out and thrived with the right circumstances around them.

The food went down well and the hog roast was, as always, popular!

We will see you all on the next one!

Who WON at the W.O.N?

On Sunday we took a team to Watford to compete in the Watford Open Nationals.

The EPIC team roster was: Harvey Tyler, Finlay Haynes, Dylan Hunt, Ellie Doyle, Kam Doyle, Harrison Doyle, Brooklyn James, Carmen Jones, Kai Rowlands, Izzy Whitmore, Grace Chandler and Matt Roberts.

Many of these competitors earned medals with special mentions to gold medal winners Kam Doyle (3), Carmen Jones (2) Dylan Hunt (1) and Izzy Whitmore (1)

There were some amazing fights and some unlucky decisions but all in all a successful day out with other competitors taking silver and bronze medals!

A special mention to Simon Tyler, martyn Rowlands and Sophie Haynes for their commitment to travel across.

Next up competition wise we have competitors going to the Athens challenge this weekend, then the British championships and the next competitions for our beginner students is the EPIC open on the 27th and the Celtic Shield championships in Cornwall on the 28th (both February)
