Andy Cleeves

Founder & Head of All EPiC Operations

Andy began his martial arts journey as a young boy, and it was those early lessons in perseverance, resilience, and refusing to give up that shaped the foundations of what would one day become The EPiC Way. In his first year of competing, Andy didn’t win a single fight but instead of stepping back, he stepped forward. Every loss fuelled his determination, sharpened his mindset, and forged the grit that defines EPiC today. Over time, he transformed every setback into strength, eventually becoming a fierce competitor capable of overcoming anyone and anything placed in front of him.

His breakthrough achievements soon followed. Andy won the prestigious IASKA World Championships in 2001 the title to win at the time along with the WAKO European Championships. The European title belt he claimed still hangs proudly in the gym, serving as a constant reminder to every student that consistency and hard work are the true keys to success.
Although Andy no longer competes, his passion for developing others has only grown. He is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of fighters and supporting every member of EPiC on their personal journey. Whether someone dreams of standing on a world stage or simply becoming fitter, stronger, and more confident, Andy dedicates himself to helping them achieve those goals.

Outside of coaching, Andy has taken on numerous charity challenges and events over the years, raising thousands of pounds both personally and through the EPiC community always striving to give back and make a positive impact.

Away from work, Andy enjoys spending time with his wife Rhea and their children Ava, Presley, and their youngest son, Chase. He’s known for being a dab-hand in the garden, showing off his famously funky dance moves, and enjoying social events with friends, family, and the wider EPiC community.
