Emma Thomas

Senior Coach

Emma first joined EPiC in 2017 with simple goals: to get fitter, learn martial arts and find a positive outlet for stress. Starting one-to-one with Andy Cleeves, Matt Roberts and later Rakan Sabbah, she quickly discovered a passion for training that led her into the world of competitive kickboxing.

Emma went on to compete across the UK and internationally, including Croatia, The Netherlands and Ireland, before choosing to shift her focus toward fitness, personal growth and life development. In 2019, she completed a transformative six-month camp in Canada, an experience that pushed her far outside her comfort zone and played a huge role in shaping the confident coach she is today.

When the pandemic disrupted her return to Canada, Emma stepped up for the EPiC community in a big way. She delivered over 100 online sessions, leading both “EPiC Education” and PE-style workouts for young members, and even ran live cooking classes to bring fun and routine to our families in lockdown.

Emma has also taken part in several charity challenges, including a skydive with Coach Rakan, and co-hosted a mid-lockdown fundraising event alongside Coach Matt Roberts.

Outside of coaching, Emma keeps active through tennis, loves playing the drums and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. Her journey from student to instructor is an inspiring example of what dedication, courage and community can unlock, the true EPiC spirit.
