Gio Marchese

Head Coach of kickboxing & Class Instructor

Gio is one of EPiC’s most experienced and decorated coaches known for his sharp combinations, dynamic kicking ability, and signature evasive style. Originally from Sicily, he has spent over a decade shaping the Brislington community and developing multiple champions through the EPiC pathway.

Alongside his coaching career, Gio plays a leading role in the events world. He is the front-of-house promoter for SKiLL STRiKER, a classic continuous-based showcase series, and co-promotes the EPiC Open alongside Head Coach Andy Cleeves.

As co-owner of the EPiC Centre of Excellence in Bradley Stoke, Gio brings unmatched energy, care, and commitment to every student he coaches. He is known for going above and beyond whether it’s refining technique, improving fitness, or supporting members on their personal journey.

Gio’s competitive career is equally impressive. He is a former WKA World Champion, 3× WKU World Champion, UCMMA Bantamweight UK1 Champion, and winner of some of the most respected tournaments in the sport. His achievements span world titles, major international opens, team events, and multiple national crowns across several disciplines.

Outside of EPiC, Gio is a family man who loves spending time with his wife Annie and their two girls, Mischa and Darcie. He’s a dedicated Bristol Rovers fan, a UFC enthusiast, and is never one to turn down a Nando’s with the lads.
